Cerebral Palsy Society Research

Currently, there is no cure for cerebral palsy. Research is mostly aimed at finding ways to make life more manageable.

Cerebral palsy is a difficult condition to treat and an even harder one to fully comprehend. The hope for a cure lies in getting a better understanding of cerebral palsy, but it’s important to understand that the current goal of most research is to learn new ways to reduce symptoms and limit problems.

Although researchers are actively seeking a cure for Cerebral Palsy, much focus is placed on acquiring an understanding of the condition, identifying risk, determining cause, advancing treatment and implementing preventative measures.
