Take part in a marathon

A great way to support the Cerebral Palsy Society is to participate in a marathon, and fundraise amongst your friends, family, whānau and supporters.

We’d love to hear from Society members, their family, whānau and friends, to colleagues and our supporters – whether you are a first-timer, a walker, or a marathon regular.

There are plenty of marathon options throughout the year for you to consider – just check the Running Calendar website – ww.runningcalendar.co.nz

If you want to fundraise for the Society while you participate in a marathon event, head to our Be Green & Be Seen #beACTIVE page and set up your own fundraising page. It’s super easy to set the page up, then spread the word amongst everyone you know via social media and email.

If participating in a marathon isn’t for you, you can always make a donation to someone’s page to show your support.

Adam Brunt, pictured, took part in the 2023 Auckland Marathon to raise funds for the Cerebral Palsy Society. His sister Leonie is a member of the Society. You can read Adam’s story here

For more information about fundraising and marathons, email us on cpsociety@cpsociety.org.nz or phone 0800 503 603.

Supergenerous – making your generosity go further

Did you know that each donation you make over $5 to the Cerebral Palsy Society is eligible for a 33% rebate from the IRD?

We’ve partnered with Supergenerous to make this process hassle free – so you don’t even have to deal with the IRD.

Sign up with them, give them the names of the charities you donated to and they’ll do the rest.

But wait – there’s more!

Supergenerous wants to supercharge the impact of human generosity, so they also give you the option to keep the rebate for yourself or gift your rebate as a new donation right back to the Cerebral Palsy Society….helping you to become Supergivers by upcycling your original donation.

Go green for the day on October 6

October 6 is World Cerebral Palsy Day and to celebrate the Cerebral Palsy Society is calling on Kiwis to Be Green & Be Seen

Dress green in your work place, in your community, at school, at home (if you’re in lockdown restrictions), and then share photos of you, your family, friends, colleagues, wearing green to Facebook or Instagram.

Why not go one step further and decorate your letter box with green balloons and this poster, or do some green baking, paint your face green, or dress up as your favourite green character……

Hold a Be Green & Be Seen event at school (fashion parade) or work (shared morning tea) and ask everyone for a gold coin donation.

Check out the photos from Be Green & Be Seen 2023 here.

To talk to us about you, your school or workplace can take part in Be Green & Be Seen email cpsociety@cpsociety.org.nz or phone 0800 503 603.

Corporate Partnerships

Most corporates today have moved beyond corporate social responsibility and now focus on Creating Shared Values. This makes the partnership a “win-win” for both parties and enables you to link the work of the CP Society with your company’s strategic objectives.

The first step in the process is for you to get to know us – we want to build a relationship with you before we ask for anything. Come and meet the CP team and you’ll discover a group of special people, many living with cerebral palsy, and all committed to enhancing the lives of others with the condition.

If we’re a good “fit” for you, then contact us and we can begin discussing how we can best to build a strong and effective partnership of significant mutual benefit.
