Our Members - Their Stories

Member stories – This is Cerebral Palsy

01 Oct 2026

This October, as part of Be Green & Be Seen, we want to open up conversations about Cerebral Palsy (CP) – Hōkai Nukurangi. We want to get people talking.
To do that, we invited members to share their story.
It’s an opportunity for them to tell everyone what it means to live with Cerebral Palsy, to help raise awareness, promote understanding and support inclusion throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.

Our request to members was simple:

Please tell us something about your life with Cerebral Palsy.
You can talk about your successes, challenges, highlights,
experiences, career or achievements.
You could write about what Cerebral Palsy means to you.
You could share a poem.
This is your story to tell.

Thank you to everyone who shared their story with us. You can read their stories here:
