NEWS & UPDATES
Be Green & Be Seen – it’s launch day!
03 Sep 2023
You’ll have to excuse us – we’re positively spotty with excitement!
Today we are launching Be Green & Be Seen for 2023.
Be Green & Be Seen is the Cerebral Palsy Society’s annual fundraising and awareness campaign and it runs throughout the month of October.
It’s a chance for you, your family, whānau and friends, workplaces and schools to get together, make some green noise, #beACTIVE and raise some vital funds for the Society.
You’ll find all the information about this year’s campaign here on our website.
Here’s what you need to know:
Why green? Because green is the international colour for Cerebral Palsy.
Why October? Because World Cerebral Palsy Day is October 6 and we’re going to celebrate and raise awareness all month long.
You can hold your event, challenge or celebration whenever it works for you.
How can you get involved? There are lots of ways you can get involved!
#beACTIVE
This year we want to see you get out there and #beACTIVE while you raise awareness of Cerebral Palsy, and funds for the Cerebral Palsy Society!
Be Green & Be Seen #beACTIVE is all about setting an active challenge that works for you. You chose the activity, you chose the distance, or length of time.
You could complete an individual challenge or create a challenge for a group, school or workplace.
You can set up your own fundraising page (it’s super easy!) and use email and social media to ask family, whānau, friends and colleagues to support your #beACTIVE challenge by making a donation.
Go green for the day
You can host a green-themed morning tea at work or a green mufti-day at school and ask colleagues and students for a donation.
You could colour your hair green (temporary colour recommended!), dress green for the day, or use our Be Green & Be Seen virtual background for your online meetings.
Why not raffle off a jar of green lollies or a hamper of green-themed goodies, or organise a green-themed quiz?
Donate
You can donate to Be Green & Be Seen and encourage your family, whānau, friends and colleagues to do so as well.
Donations can be made by:
– Sponsoring someone who is completing a #beACTIVE challenge
– Donating on our Givealittle page using this link, or this QR code
– Heading to the donation page on our website

Do you own a business, or work for one, that would be keen to support Be Green & Be Seen by donating a prize or becoming a sponsor?
Our Events and Campaigns Specialist Sophie Westacott would LOVE to hear from you. Contact Sophie on 022 183 2051 or sophie@cpsociety.org.nz
