Tomorrows Schools Review
22 Jun 2018
Kia Ora,
The Tomorrows Schools Review (TSR) is an important piece of work undertaken as part of the 3 year Education Work Plan by the education minister Chris Hipkins. The taskforce appointed for the TSR are asking for the public’s thoughts on our current education and self governance system, and what needs to change.
It is critically important that students with special needs, disabilities, neurodiversity and other minority groups who are often marginalized, neglected and discriminated by schools are represented in this review and that their voices, challenges and struggles are heard by the TSR taskforce through surveys and submissions. So please participate in these and share this email as required across your networks so we can improve our education system to ensure it works for ALL children!
There are three easy options for people to participate:
1) A quick survey (3 questions),
2) a more detailed survey (12 questions)
3) email submissions directly to the Secretariat at tomorrows.schools@education.govt.nz .
The TSR website features a video introducing the review and encouraging people to have their say. It also has some information on the aspects that the Tomorrow’s School Review Taskforce are keen to hear about from New Zealanders. Below is a link to this website:
