Coffee Groups
Coffee Group events are a good way to connect with other members, socialise and make friends. The Cerebral Palsy Society currently has groups running in a few regions around New Zealand, enabling members living with Cerebral Palsy – Hōkai Nukurangi to connect. Please come along and join us – check out our list of Coffee Group locations below.
A companion, support worker and/or family member is welcome to accompany members to these groups. Up to $15 worth of refreshments per person is provided compliments of the Cerebral Palsy Society.
Please note:
- Anyone who requires help or assistance to attend Coffee Group must be accompanied by a carer or support worker.
- Attendees need to be a financial member of the Cerebral Palsy Society. You can learn more about becoming a member here.
If you have any questions, or you are interested in attending a Coffee Group but there is not one currently set up in your area, please contact us at cpsociety@cpsociety.org.nz.
If you want to attend a coffee group but the day/time/venue of an existing group doesn’t work for you, please contact the Society to discuss your needs.
We are always looking for local people to host groups in their community.
Auckland
NEW! Albany
Venue: Columbus Coffee Westfield Albany
Address: Level 2 (outdoor opposite Event Cinemas), Westfield Albany, 219 Don McKinnon Dr, Albany
Directions: Go through the main entrance of Westfield Mall, go straight past the food court to the doors that lead out to the restaurant area. There is a ramp to the café.
Time: 9.30am – quieter time (recommended) or 10.30am – busier time
Due to the large number of members attending, there are two start times for morning tea. This will help with ordering your food and drinks. Please place your order promptly when you arrive.

RSVP: Please RSVP to sara@cpsociety.org.nz or text her on 022 657 3780 with the first and last name of the CP Society member attending, the number of people joining them and which time slot you’ll be at. RSVPs are due by the last Friday of the month so cafe staff can be advised.
