Charity Shave Kindness To Benefit CPS
02 Jun 2020
The support for Cerebral Palsy Society of New Zealand continues due to the “shave off” initiative of kind-hearted New Zealanders.
A group of young tertiary students from Christchurch are teaming together to fundraise for a number of charities, Cerebral Palsy Society of New Zealand being a chosen charity.
The fundraiser, which is being called Guys Just Being Dudes For A Cause, aims to raise funds and awareness for Leukaemia and Blood Cancer NZ, The Mental Health Foundation of NZ, and Cancer Society Canterbury (West Coast Division).
Team member Connor McNabb has chosen CPS as his sister Lucia lives with cerebral palsy.
“A good friend, Dion, who is on the Everyday Hero team page, came up with the idea and as we mentioned it to more people, it kinda snowballed into a group (8-10) of us,” he said.
My younger sister, Lucia, lives with CP. It was kind of a no-brainer to support the CPS, just trying to do my bit.”
The group is currently promoting each of their initiatives with the expected shave off to take place on Sunday July 26.
Here is a link to Connor’s donation page: https://give.everydayhero.com/nz/cjmmc.
All you need to do is simply click the link and then go to “Give Now” once on the page. Alternatively, his profile can also be found on our team page – https://give.everydayhero.com/nz/just-guys-being-dudes and they can click on him through there.
On behalf of CPS, we would like to thank Connor for his efforts in supporting our work in enhancing the lives of our members.
