Tell us about your experience with intensive therapy
15 Aug 2025
Our members have told us they’re increasingly interested in intensive therapy options — from across Aotearoa and even overseas.
To help guide our thinking, direction, and advocacy around this evolving space, we’ve put together a survey for:
- People who have already done intensive therapy
- People who would like to, but face barriers.
This survey is for all people with Cerebral Palsy – Hōkai Nukurangi in Aotearoa New Zealand — tamariki, rangatahi, and pakeke (children, youth and adults) — as well as their whānau. It’s open to anyone who has accessed, or considered accessing, an intensive therapy programme.
We’re conducting this survey in collaboration with local clinicians in response to growing interest from whānau, therapists, and health providers.
It aims to help us understand:
- What’s currently available in different regions
- Who the providers are
- What challenges or barriers people face
- Why some families seek support outside New Zealand.
Your feedback will help shape future therapy provision — and guide what services may need to consider to better support our community.
A provider survey for therapists and organisations to fill out will also be distributed through their networks.
